Dusk … This dried bromeliad stem was something I rescued from a colleague’s desk, and placed in a holder by the window in my office at the college. One late afternoon in the fall, I walked in and caught sight of it against the darkening sky. Watercolour, casein, acrylic, 12″ x 6″. ©Kathryn Chorney
